Only recently
planted in our vineyard it will produce grapes that will be used
for vinification from 2004 onwards, not before.
This vine is of Bordeaux origin in the Médoc and Graves areas
and is without a doubt the most famous variety in the world for
the production of quality, long-life wines. Its enormous capacity
for adapting to widely different climatic conditions and vinification
techniques whilst retaining its own qualities for identification
as well as those of the territory.
It has average-sized, pentalobate, serrated leaves; the grape bunch
is medium-small, oblong, cylindrical-pyramid-like and fairly compact
and alar with one particularly pronounced side; the berry is of
average size and almost round in shape; its blue-black skin is extremely
tough with shades of bloom-rich violet.
